I'm still feeling unwell, but still need to get back to work as need to settle some work stuff and to delicate some work to my staff before i leave singapore tomorrow.

For the whole morning, i was feeling very sick and uncomfortable, i overslept by about an hour and still, my head is still spinning.

Reach the office, had a quick breakfast and pop the medicines, and i was thinking, what if I'm unable to get well before the genting trip? Would I be enjoying it or just have to go through the torture?

Lunch, met up with my biker mate for lunch, but as I was unwell, didn't really want to talk much during the lunch.

Afternoon, work start to pile up. And somehow, some issues are just having problem to get resolve as fast as I want to solve it. My direct boss was asking me to update and report some status to his boss, while I'm told that I'm not reporting directly to him, but as this is a tricky issue, my boss chose to let me to get bash up rather than him.

Even back home at night, my boss send sms, repeating the same old shitz, I'm damn pissed off.

It has been a long time since I get so stress up with work, hope after the trip back, it will turn out to be better.

I'm down with flu, cough

I reckon the virus was being pass by my daughter as she was coughing pretty badly at night, sometimes vomitting outthe milk she have consumed before sleeping.

So now, I contracted the virus. Began coughing since sunday night and even that, I went to work the next day.

With the Genting trip coming up on later of the week, I guess I need to get myself cure asap, so went to visit the doc immeidately after work yesterday.

After taking temperature, I got a fever... So doc prescribe some panadol, anti-biotic, flu and cough medicine for me.

The medicine is really a good sleeping pill, after taken the medicine, I almost KO instantly while lying on the bed going to sleep.

Had a Bad Day in Office?

I have been recently, having a streak of bad luck working, the work would not turn up properly and cause alot of mess.

New Yamaha 2T autolube

When I pass by AMK industrial park to look for 2t for my bike, i stop at this dirty, oil stained workshop, with mainly tyres and nothing else on the racks.

So I went in, a mechanic attended to me, asking what I want, I mentioned I need a bottle of 2t, so he asked good or cheap type? I replied anything, so he introduce this Castrol Active 2t, at $8.

But I asked if he has Castrol R2, but it has been increased till $18 now. (previously $14)

So I was considering and suddenly, he recommend this Yamaha lube to me, just $10. So I took it, as I have not tried this before, "should" be from Japan I reckon.

Yesterday night, while I was in the room flipping magazine, he ran into the room, took out his t-shirt and run around with half naked body.

Going for short trip

Have booked tickets to go Genting on next week, myself, my wife, both my parents and my boy.

This will be the second time I'm going there, the last trip I went, was sometimes in 1987, when I'm still a pri 6 student.

My dad, mum have not being oversea for all these years, so my wife suggested we will bring them out for this short trip, also to enjoy, sightseeing.

Myself have not fish for quite awhile, so perhap I should go fishing on this friday night, to relieve some stress, and to catch up with some friends, but always confirm at the last minute.

Stress...

This couples of weeks, I have been under a lot of stress from work. Even when I reached home everyday, still feeling damn uneasy, and sometimes, can't get to sleep at night.

I have been thinking, what is all this shitz about? Do I had to be so stressful working? Life is too short to be stuck with all this rubbish issues.

Guess I will need to relook at how to tackle all this stupid work problems/issues, as it is not worthwhile to do all this just because of that miserable pay and bring the stress back home.

Need to learn to relax from now on, else I will look old, haggard, or even turn my hair white soon!

I got my transport bike, yamaha y125z

This is the pic I gotten from HL corp. the above pic show the latest model of the cub of the 2 smoker. What I have got, is a used unit from a friend, condition is full stock, with relatively good condition, just need minor maintenance to improve the feel.

It is a 125cc, air-cooled stroker machine, kick-start only, both front and rear disc front, with clutch lever (as compare to many of the clutchless modern cub), I prefer with clutch to gain more controbility of the bike. It came with a 2t injector, instead of premix, for ease of daily usage, as to premix it, is rather a hassle, at least for me. With sport rim and tubeless tyres

The model I got, is the GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! special blue edition. I was interested in this bike a couples of years back when it was release for the first time, but didn't get it.

Did a quick touch up just now, lube the clutch cable (it is stiff), lubricate all movable joints, chains, etc At least it feeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllll much smoother for the clutch pull now.

A fcuking unlucky day

We had this regular meeting on the monday, as usual in schedule.

However, due to my predeccessor "doing" and the retailer's "overlook" of matters, the shit finally snowball on me.

I wouldn't say I have no fault at all, but I only get to know this outstanding issue near end Dec, and we had meeting with the retailer sometimes before CNY. So after this meeting with the retailer, we immeidately sent out letter to all affected parties.

Due to the approval of my staff long leave, from my boss, I had no choice but to cover duty for her, she went on leave before CNY. And then at the same time, another colleague from other department went on leave too, and I was asked to cover for him as well! (which I have mentioned in my earlier blog)

So, it is just barely over CNY, and this issue was being brough up in meeting, I was fired by the boss, I don't wish to explain too much as he is already in the firing mood and no explaination, I guess, will be listened.

This issue should have already being brough up even before I came into the company, but some was dragged as long as 1 year ago, when I have not joined the coy.

I had really a bad afternoon, I was being reprimanded, infront of other colleagues, when this is not totally my fault at all!!

It is really fug up feeling, and I couldn't get to sleep last night...

A tiring sunday

As usual, wake up early on sunday morning around 8am+, when I slept at about 1am+ on saturday night, still feeling tired though.

And the usual routine, wake up even before brushing my teeth, wash my face etc... I would need to bath both my boy and daughter, clean them up, put on diaper, and new cloth for them.

Then we would bring both of them to my parent place and deposit them, before both myself and wife went out for breakfast, it was like 10am+? We were hungry like a wolf by then.

So we would skip the lunch and proceed to gym session around 1pm+. Total duration about an hour and we would went home, take a quick shower and back to my parent home again.

Normally, we have nothing else in the afternoon, but this evening, we need to go to my wife's colleague home for CNY gathering, so we bring our boy only, leaving our daughter behind.

It was the usual, gathering, eating, drinking, etc through out the evening, and we left about 8.30pm to fetch our daughter. By the time we reach home, we were dead beat.

Both the kids are so tired that, after a bottle of milk, they snooze off almost immediately. Including myself and wife.

At about 1am, my daughter start coughing and we know what's next, she would start vomitting.
So with my half sleepy eyes, I quickly carry her out and bring her to the edge of the bed, she was coughing and vomitting.

After a busy cleaning her and the floor, we went back to bed and KO even before knowing it. This morning, I 'm still feeling tired, guess tonight needs to bring my daughter to see doctor already.

Thursday working woes....

I don't understand why.

It seem like I'm the ONE.

Every departments, after contributing their input into the form (including myself)

I was "asked" to compiled the whole shit load of it, and "asked" to put up paper for recommendation. I was wondering, why me?????

Up till today, this is not the first time I'm been "asked" to consolidate all the numbers/figures for other departments. Despite I'm the only one in my own department alone, when the other departments, have a manager and at least 2 staff under them.

It was a last minute "arrow" to me, I was rushing like mad, compiling all data into a summary.

When the first presentation was put up to management for approval, it was rejected, as expected. Need to explaint, answer queries, justify the figure too, when I'm not very clear how other department got their figure from.

So, I amended it, to and fro for a few rounds, and I finally got it approved, at around 9pm...
When I reached home, I was almost KO...

I still don't get it, why me??

It's that uncle and auntie again...

If you have read the previous post of my encounter of this uncle and aunite on the bike while I'm travelling to work, I met them again this morning.

Met them at a traffic junction and I regconise them immediately, as the uncle rode dangerously taking a high speed bend out from minor road to main road and swerve wayyyyyyyyyyyy out to the furthest lane, with his bike wobbling like a boat in pacific ocean previously.

So as usual, this uncle would ride off even before the light turn green, and this happen at every traffic junction literally. But I would always overtake him by picking up slowly and would often reach the next traffic junction before him.

Anyway, I'm prepared this time round, when I was approaching this traffic junction, the light was turning green any moment, but before i could brake and slow down, i heard this uncle rev up his bike and overtook me, again, before light turn green.

When it is green, I pick up my speed and gradually overtook him, but he suddenly slow down and keep to his left and before reaching his "favourite" corner which he overtook me previously at high speed, I could see his bike coming up fast behind me again!!

It seem like he like to play some kind of "catch you unaware tactic, from behind"

Unfortunately for him, I'm prepared this time round, I drop a gear and rev up the bike, and start picking up speed. And when we approaching this left bend which is merging into the main road, it is too late for him to do anything, and with traffic coming along on the main road, he can't take the high speed bend like the round time.

He have to cut down his speed significantly to take the left most inner lane and I just pull it away from him as I'm already used to taking the left lane. When I stop at next traffic junction, he stop at the lane next to me, and when i turn to look at him, he just pretend and look straight ahead. I wonder what he is trying to proof again?

Working shit

My staff is on a loooooooooong leave, my another colleague is going outstation again!!

I'm gonna carry the workload of this 2 staff.

I don't know what the boss is thinking, to cover duty for 1 staff is fair enough, as it is in my department.

But now, I need to cover for another colleague, which infact, are not in my department, total different jobscope, I have no idea of what are those details, and not forgetting myself does have my own fair share of work.

So 1 man = 3 workload in total.

The CNY and the kids

My boy is already 3+ and his little sis is 1yo+. All they do are enjoying the goodies and toys + ang bao through this CNY.

New opening year of Rat

Finally, after a long weekend break through this CNY, it‘s back into work.

It is a hell of the struggle to get myself up from the bed to wash up and be ready with another busy week ahead.

After all this 15years of riding, the traffic as compared to 10 over years back, have gone increasing packed, messy and haywire, everyone are going everywhere, the road have become even more dangerous than before. (with recently sudden increase of accident fatality, it’s scary I would say)

Reached the office today, whole junk of emails was flooded in my inbox, and one of the most interesting email was the “salary increment” notice from the company. I was glad to see that heading, but shitzz, I do not fall under any of the category for increment!!

I feel upset, after all the hardwork been put into these few month, it seem like it was not been “repay”, although I’m not all about $$, but a minimum 5% would be good enough for me to last through this whole blue day!

Arghh….. I feel damn shitty…

Busy, busy

My colleague was handling this project since before I joint the company. And up till today, the project is still on going and not completed, and this has already pisses off the higher management.

So ok, it is none of my problem at all, but when i just knew last week that he is going out station and my boss just pass this whole pile of work to me, just 2 days before he fly off, with out of mis-communication, unhappiness, lack of co-ordination behtween my colleague and his vendors, contractors.

This is not the first time I'm covering his job for him, and now just 1 day before CNY eve, I actually get into this busy pile of work, as the higher management need the schedule on exactly the same day!! Shit, start to pick up the phone and start calling, to vendors, contractors, etc..

Lot of mis-conmmunication was been dig up by me, as my colleague did not actually handle it well, so no choice, just gotta put my head down and dig really deep to get thing moving.

I have told my boss, I can cover the job, no issue, but not all this last minute thingy, as it could kill me! I can't always perform magic!

Luckily, I manage to confirm all those dats and arrange the work to be carry out just after CNY.

What a day to spend before CNY..

My lunch date

It was a busy monday again, when all the food outlet would be packed as usual during lunch hour. And today, I decided to go to my favourite kopi shop where it is easy to find a seating, especially I'm alone lunching.

Bought a bowl of noodle and start eating, sat down at 1 corner of a long table, it should be nice and quiet without any other stranger should be come sitting next to you.

Just when i'm concentrating and about to finish my noodle, a "thud" sound pop up right infront of me, I lift my head and saw a old man, age about 70 years old, putting down something heavy from his shoulder, and mumbling: " it's so heavy", and the thud sound was from his rice plate, placing right infront of me.

And before he sat down, he went to get a glass of plain water and came back sitting down. At first I was rather pissed off with his action and the loud noise, but when I saw this old gentleman, I was kind of thinking I should just be reminded of my own EQ and keep my smily face, as he indeed, look like the kind of respectable old man who have fought hard for what Singapore have become today.

He started to converse with me in cantonese, which I'm not very good at it, however, I do understand what he is talking about, thus I nod my head to show the attention and respect I can give to this old gentleman.

After a while, I decided to get myself a hot drink (the usual fav kopi-o) from the counter, so I ask him in my broken cantonese if he would like a cuppa hot drink. He ask if I'm buying him, I say yes, no worry. So he wanted a kopi-o as well, and I ordered and paid over the counter waiting to be served.

We are talking like some good friends, though he talk more than me, as I can't really talk well in cantonese, but i still look into his eyes and nod my head, once awhile try to speak alittle cantonese.

I asked him about when he is "resting" for CNY, he said no, he would still be working still, but taking a break in between as he need money for his legs, which the medical fee set him back about $9k+, and he showed me his darkend foot, which I can't really understand what is the cause of it. And his son who is a taxi driver, didn't really earn much to help, so he need to continue to work. I just advice him to rest his leg more often.

When we leave the table, I wish him good luck and take care, while he try to lift up the canvas bag with the heavy stuff inside it.

A tough old man I would say, never get defeated by the life. I don't feel sorry for him, with man like his age, he still push on as I watch his back view walking slowly away, I salute to you. uncle.

Can't stand it, office politic

This particular shit have haunt since last friday, as a manager from other department have been trying to get me, to do their work.

But it seem like, the complaint you wrote to the boss, doesn't work, and even to his boss.

And this particular manager even engage her particular department head and try to "thumb" me down, pressing me to do their work. Also asking me to ensure the figure I provided must be accurate, when I'm a total layman to their trade, not to mentioned this is a more of a specialist kind of work.

I do not understand what does this particular woman trying to proof? But from my 6th sense, I reckon she have been stabbing behind my back!! And I think my analytical skill is accurate.

And man, I feel damn shitty again, when that manager's head called me this morning again, and then follow by a "threatening" email, getting me to do their work.

........ all the stupid politic.....

Raising of fatality of motorcyclist

Within this couples of month, the news reporting of the motorcyclist fatality is on the high.

I do not really know what is the real cause of it, but one reason could be the heavy traffic, the amount of vehicles commuting on the road.

It is really sad, be it the rider, pillion or passeger in car, are reported "killed" in the accident.

From my observation, about 16years ago, when I just started riding on the road, the traffic on the road is not as heavy as compared to now. Even when I start to drive 2 years later after gotten my driving license, traffic condition is still quite ok.

Nowaday, commuting on the road is like pasing through war zone, and we have to be very careful when threading through all this.

It is always glad when you reach home daily.

A Shitty day

Recently, it seem like a bad streak of luck is being with me.

Just work wise, is already more than enough to bear.

Own work already need to have constant monitoring and lotsa following up work to do, and now, kana arrow by the management to help other department to do their work!

The managment keep saying "work together, help each other" but it seem like, my only 2 staff in this department, is helping another department with 5 staff!!

What the heck is the problem with that!! Perhap that manager of that department is a better PR person, and it seem like my complaint to the boss didn't reflect anything or the boss don't even at least show some concern by asking me.
