Yesterday in the afternoon, received a call from my colleague asking me to help. After listening to the urgent phonecall, I realize a technician has fell off from 2nd storey while doing work.
I got the mobile number from the other technician, immediately I called him up to find out more about the injured tech. Ok, I got the address and I called the ambulance immediately.
Rush down from my workplace and when I reached, the ambulance is already there attending to the tech. Seem like his wrist is fractured and still conscious, try talking to him and he can response to me, good.
For so many years in my work, this is the most serious injury I encounter and the first time I called the ambulance. I had always emphasized safety to my guys, no compromise on this aspect. Not that I don’t want to be responsible or I hate to write report, but they still need to think of their closest family member when they are doing dangerous work, just like myself, I have to be responsible for my family and be safe during the course of work, because end of the day, it will be their family member who suffer.
I’m glad I make the decision to call the ambulance without any delay, he could be in danger, and his partner was also in a daze when I called him.

A brand new world for me.
Am going to embark on a totally new different route soon, feeling abit lost and getting a little excited, don’t really know what to expect.
However, I have my planning already and at least I have a direction ahead to follow. It is a little risky but I feel this could be the only chance in my lifetime to do it.
Many a time, I heard great plan and suggestion, but only end up with NATO situation (*No Action, Talk Only) but this time, I’m walking the talk, and my wife is pretty supportive of it. Life will never be the same again!
Wish me lucks!!!

Bike vs Skill
I see a lot of people these days sinking loads of money into there bikes in attempts to make themselves faster. Rider skill can not be overcome by adding power or other aftermarket accessories to your bike.
If you want to be faster than you must increase your skill level. Unless of course you drag race and then more power will help you. I don't know how many times I have seen guys with tricked out bikes. Triple clamps, bars, cluch kits etc saying that they had to do it just so they could turn or ride the thing. Then we go for a ride and they get left.
I have seen guys on old xr350s smoke guys on new yz wr 400s 450s. In the woods of course. Not drag racing. One good example was in dirt bike a while back. The article was callled How low does the Pro have to go for the average Joe. It put Ryan Hughes against an average joe.
First match up RMZ 450 and RMZ 450. Ryan hughes smoked him. Next match up RM 125 to RMZ 450. Again ryan hughes won on the 125. Then Ryan on an 85 and average joe on 450 still and ryan won. Ryan beat the guy on a drz 125 and the average joe was on a 450 still. Skill is more important than the bike.
Most people out there can't ride what they got to the full potential anyway. Anyone else agree or disagree.

Sat & Sun
SATURDAY
Had a tiring but fulfilled weekend. Finally change new rim and tyres for the car, as my wife tear the front left wheel on last Thursday when driving after work. Called me when she was stuck in jurong area, and I need to rush down to save her.
After changing to spare tyres, we went straight to a tyres shop in AMK industrial park, after choosing the rim and tyres, it was swop out almost immediately, the mechanic was well trained.
I bring the car to a alignment shop on Saturday afternoon to do some setting, install the camber kit to have slight camber to help in corner handling. It took the boss almost 2 hours to did it as one of the nut was seized, but luckily, it was removed. Alright, now the car issue settle. Went home about 4pm and had a nap.
Dinner time, brough the kids out for dinner at Maxwell market, we had the famous chicken rice and the self serviced “hum jin peng”, the fried stuff are now selling at 6pcs for $1, when I bought it more than 20years ago, it was 10cent for a piece.
It is night, we went to Singapore flyer, as agreed to bring my kids there to take a look. However, we end up buying tickets to take a ride, since we are there. There is this promotional offer till 19 May. 1 adult ticket allow 1 kid (between 3 to 12) free entry, so might as well, as I thought, we may not come here again in near future.
After the long queue, about 30mins, we managed to board the cabin. The ride is about 30mins and the scenery was beautiful. Too bad I only had my lousy handphone camera and the pic taken was not sharp and clear. Will try to upload the pic when I’m free later.
SUNDAY
Morning, brough my daughter to see daughter as we hear her coughing constantly at night, but nothing serious. Went to my parent house later with the kids and we stay there, to feed and bath them.
Afternoon, went to wash the car as it is really dirty and stained. And it was a quick wash anyway, didn’t want to waste too much time washing it.
Evening, bring the kids and my parent to pasir ris park to take a walk. Realize that now, the park is flooding with a lot more playgrounds and activities. Both my kids are really enjoying themselves and they really sweat their clothing. It is really a good place for them to expend their energy.
Even my dad also enjoy playing with some of the “playground”, it was kind of fun.
By night, we went to whitesands for dinner, due to mother’s day, almost all restaurant are long queue, so we went to foodcourt instead, as it is not so crowded.
By the time we reached home, both the kids was almost dropping dead, so we clean them up and feed them before bringing them to sleep. It was a fulfill and enjoyable weekend.
