Oasis at kallang river

it has been a while since we had dinner with my in-law, so this saturday evening, we book a table in one of the restaurant in Oasis, it seems like this place also going away soon. so brough along the camera to take some pic of here before it really is gone.
i took quite of bit of photo on the kallang river, instead of the oasis building itself, because i'm a fisherman, one bad thing about here is "No Fishing"
the dinner was a enjoyable one, and the scenery, especially on the sunset view of those condominium is nice, and serene...

dirt bike race or sleep marathon

sometimes last month, i joined a dirt bike race which is held in orchard road, just next to cinelesiure. i joined 2 class of race, full size bike and mini bike, 3 moto each, meaning i will be racing 6 races, from morning till evening.
due to lack of training, i feel tired just after a few moto/races, and the guy in red, Gary, is also a old friend of mine which i know him for already a good ten years, he was also back to join this race, without any practise at all. so both started the sleeping marathon, before our next moto/races, and so happen, this was candid moment was being captured. LOL
it was quite a bit of torture actually, as both of us have not been really riding much nowaday, but it is still fun to catch up with some old riding mates which i know since the days in Loyang mx track.

哥哥妹妹在玩耍

i'm looking after the 2 kids tonight, so i just let them play on their own, asking the bro to look after the little sis, don't let her fall, he said ok, but i don't know how well he understand what i want.
nevertheless, everythings goes on smoothly, the bro can talk and play with his little sis, teaching her a little bit. check out the video right under the blog, try to pick up what the boy is talking about, you will be surprise, heheee.

a trip to KTM last saturday evening

this railway station is the property of Msia, and the trail which passes through Singapore, is also belongs to Msia.

and up till this day, the railway is still in use, for transportaion up north and down to Sinapore.

myself and my wife decided to pay this nice, cooling place a visit after our dinner, as we have not been there for at least the past 2-3years. the parking charges for the car is $1.80 per entry.

we found it abit quiet that evening, as the last trip we were here, the place was actually packed, with stalls outside the building selling satay, otak, those kuays, mee robus, etc and also can see alot of people enjoying their "pipe" smoking.
from the photo you can see, not many visitors came in here, and it is only the saturday evening which is "suppose" to be crowded i guess. nevermind, my wife got ourself a cuppa nice hot tea, sitting under the starry night, enjoying a little breeze and peace, relaxing without the hassle of my 2 littles rascals presence.
KTM railway is one of the last few historical place which are rare nowaday, it is lucky that this building belongs to Msia property and hope this place will still stays. so folks, try to visit all this places before it is all gone for good, we have already lost a great deal of memorable to urbanisation.

want to fish barramundi? learn how to find them first

barramundi is also know as "kim bak lor" in Singapore, a direct translation from hokkien, meaning "golden eyes"

in Malay term, they called it Siakap.

to fish for barramundi, firstly you will need to know where they stay, their habit, and the habitat.

barramundi is a common around Singapore water, but however due to over fishing, this fish is harder to find them in the wild, but you can still fish them at those pay pond.

barramundi are a kind of fish which can stay between salt and fresh water, sometimes we call it brackish water, so in common sense, they can be easily found in the area where the river meet the sea. (so this is a very important thing to take note)

throughout their life cycle, barramundi actually change sex from male (when young) to female after they have participate in one or more spawning season and becoming a functional female by the next breeding season.

barramundi is well known to be good fighter, and will leap out of water, and it is a spectacular scene to watch. they will take live prawn, mullet and response well to lures as well.

lastly, to preserve our limited fish ground in tiny Singapore, please release those under size barramundi if you were to catch them.
