I'm dying...

My daughter has gotten the high fever since thursday. Till today, saturday, her fever is constantly on the high side, 37.5degc to 39dgC.
at night, it would even go higher. As doc mentioned, it is cause by virus. myself and my wife have not been sleeping well over this couple of night and temper is rising. We would quarrel over small things.
We had rush her to hospital yesterday early morning when the fever is going very high. and today, we bring her to see doc again, because of diarreah (loose bowel)
This few pic are taken when we are waiting to see doc, somehow I guess she must be feeling better today as she keeps crying yesterday. Today she was like "nothing had happen" keep playing and running around. And show me the "happy" face.
Just hope she will get well soon, else both myself and my wife would be the next one lying down.

Car parking in town area

Me and my wife decided to visit the famous"zu cha tang" (mix pork soup) in town area this evening, as expected, parking lot is not easy to find. Those with FREE parking lots during public holiday like today, is all filled up.

So when I saw this open air carpark nearby, with a couples of empty lots, I decided to park in there, even though I know I need to pay. After parking, I approached the old lady who is collecting the fee, so she told me is $2 per entry, which I feel is pretty reasonable, as today is PH.

Just when i was about to leave after paying, this uncle, whom have just park his mpv into a lot, ask the old lady how much is it. When he heard the cost, immediately, he turn back to his wife, "hey, it is $2, lets park outside quickly!" pointing to a empty lot right outside.
But it just so happen, a lorry was reversing into the lot.

However, I did not stay and see if he leave the carpark, as I couldn;t be bother with him. With today public holiday, and families are enjoying their dinner together outside today during the holiday, I guess it wasn't too much to pay the old lady $2 per entry right?

My new ride

This is the limited sport edition of the Yamaha Y125Z, which I bought from a mate's friend.
I have changed the hand grip (the old grip is slipping and twisting), flush the rear brake brake fluid and replace with new fluid. Have not done for the front brake system yet as previously the screw on the reservoir is stuck/jam, fnally got a impact driver and loosen it today.
Top up the 2t container with the new yamaha 2t lube (@ $10 per bottle). Grease ane lube clutch cable, lever, brake lever, kick stand joint, kick starter pivot joint, and lube the chain as well. Today afternoon, also change out the engine oil, man, the old oil is yucky, it could be quite sometimes in there already.
No complaint for the bike so far, it is easy to fire up, easy to ride around, low consumption (although not as good as what i think, as perhap it is a 2stroke), only major complaint is the smoke, although i already set it to the lowest, but still smoke up every morning. But it did reduce slightly when engine is heat up.
Next, the front brake fluid should be replace, and both front and rear tyres.

Branden, Vivian and myself at Changi beach

Brough the kids to changi beach last sunday late afternoon, the wind is pretty chilling but the crowds is there. Sorry for the blurry image as it is taken from my lousy 2mega pixel HP camera.

My boy and Barney!

Well, nowaday my boy and my daughter like to watch the "Barney" kids video CD. So when my boy saw this kid's ride at one of the neighbourhood shopping mall, he immediately jump right onto it.
And since when did he learn to wink??

How can I forget this day? 8th March 10997

Shit, I have only thought of this a couples of days ago, which I should post something up here in remembrance.

in 1997, 8th March, a sunday in New Zealand Waiouru military training ground. 23rd Singapore Artillery, Bravo battery, detachment 4 gun (5611) had a inborne explosion, killing 2 soldiers and badly injured the rest of the gunners and spectators.

It is fate I guess. ..

It was a beautiful sunday morning, with chill air blowing across this yellowish wide plain grass area, most of the guys almost don't want to get out of the nice warm sleeping bags. When the sun are up, my detachment gun 5, had received a firing mission. As a no.4 man myself, I need to prepare the 155mm TNT round for firing. Rounds are wipe clean, handles are replace with fuse and tighten with the fuse wrench.

It is not the first time we are firing, as all of us are experience in doing gun firing, after we went to thailand for 3 times, 1 time in taiwan, and this time, NZ.

We are excited, as this is the first time we are firing the FH2000, a improvised gun from the proven old gun FH88, which serve the army for more than 10 years.

While we are ready for fire mission, the order was cancelled, and switch to detachment 4 for firing instead, I was swearing and cursing in my heart while removing those fuse from the round and had to lay it back in position, and man, it is heavy.

So, as I was taking my brekafast, while watching gun 4 doing the preparation, first round goes off. I was enjoying the hot tea from the cup, looking at my fellow gunners firing round after round. and when this no. 7th round being ram into the chamber, it exploded!

I saw a black smoke with a huge ball of flame goes up, with the gun barrel dropping down, buring up the camoflage net as well. My first reaction was, shouting to the rest who are not aware of what is happening, to RUN!!!

Most of us just ran, we didn;t know how far we have ran until all of us are panting and proning on the ground, trying to see what is the later happening at the gun position. After waiting for a while, we hear nothing, see nothing, we start to proceed back carefully, fearing the remaining of the rounds on the ground may goes off as well. (the killing radius of the 155 is 50m)

It is chaos, but most of us ran back when we feel it is safe enough to render help to those injured guys, the scene is bad and the blown body, are beyond recognition...

Gun commander Sgt Ronnie and Pte Loh Yin Tik, was killed instantly. At least they didn;t suffer too long... and we have only 3 more months to ORD.

Investigation was out a few months after we have ORD. It was confirmed that the fuse we are using are faulty, and some of them, are already "armed", that explained the reason why upon raming the round into the chamber, activated the round to goes off. And what shock me most is, every detachments have all this faulty fuse!!!

I could have been killed, if it was my gun firing that morning!

perhap it is all fated.

Up till today, year 2008, 11 years have pass, but I still can remember the scene when explosion happens.

RIP my comrades... we will always remember you and the tough times we have been through.

I have been busy

Sorry folks, due to no access to internet in office ever since I moved to another new office, I have little time to come online. The only time I can come online is only when I come home, after the 2 kids are asleep, then I can manage to squeeze some times out to surf.

However, my wife also have her work to complete, and we have only 1 notebook to share, that's why I can't use it, and I went to sleep in the end.

My recent plans have been moving on smoothly, hope that it will turn out well.

Bruce Lee

I don't know you guys, but Bruce died in the 70's, can't remember the exact year, my guess was he left this world before I came into the world.

Though I have not the slightest idea of who he is, but he become my idol instantly when I watch his video. The speed, swiftness, power, and the art of swinging that nunchaku have greatly fancinated me.

From some research, he graduated from a university in States, in philosphy. No wonder he have tons of theory when he talk.

He is also known as the first chinese international superstar during the era, and he had lotsa American fans as well.

It is really a pity he left the world just like that, but it is still really unknow how did he just pass away without any concrete finding.

Lastly, I have upload a youtube video right at the bottom of the blog, scroll down to enjoy the action.

The most Advance Rubbish Chute Hopper Designed and Patented in Singapore!!

Have spoken to the inventor of this hopper, examine the fine details of the finished product. This hopper was re-invented from the conventional type of hopper, and it is by far, the most Advance hopper which are designed and manufactor in Singapore.

Although on the pic, you would not see any special features of it, but this design is patented, tested and approved with half hour fire rated by Spring Singapore, auto-sealed with synthetic rubber gasket (with magnetic strip in it), hopper cover and body are completed by stainless steel, which the cover is hairline finished stainless steel which is presentable piece of equipment.
A well balanced counter-balance weight is also in place to facilitate the ease of opening and closing of the hopper. And the auto-sealed system guranteed 100% cockroach-proof!! and it does keeps the foul smell out as well.
The half hour fire rated auto closed system will allow built-up pressure under big fire condition (in the shaft) and will allow some level of "pressure relieve" effect with the cover open a tiny gap, and it will auto shut and seal up immeidately when the pressure is release or equalised, preventing further smoke, soot and fire from entering your premises.
For intersted party, kindly drop me a mail or msg if you want to know more.

TGIF

Well, after the monday shitz, the big boss was out-station for the past few days and I managed to have some quiet time to myself to "recover" from all the stress.

With last few days of waking up early to send my daughter to my parent place and coming back home late, I was dead beat when I reach home. Wash up, had a quick dinner and I almost KO immediately.

TGIF, hopefully I can take this good chance to rest well to prepare myself for the torture coming up on monday. I'm feeling tired now but am glad that I have another 2 free days to rest and recover.

Hope the coming week will be a better one.

I'm giving up...

Due to the stupid, unreasonable boss, he ask me to move to a office, without network access, I can't check and reply my email, can't even do my basic work, I'm basically can't do anything.

That's why recently, you don't see me come online and post my blog, because I'm totally lost connection with this world, without my PC.

I guess it is time to move on, it is ridiculous to work in this manner, just because of one's dictatorship...

Almost feel like quitting

The recent bad streak of work progress have been with me, for quite sometimes. And with staff in the organisation playing politic, it had added fuel to the fire on me.

With my out going boss (without giving me any direction, support, advice etc all this while), I do seriously hope that the new boss would be a much much better one! I had not been properly guided by the current boss and he often gave me wrong direction, and I would often end up doing the wrong things, and getting scolding by his boss (I got the blame) And as always, he would just keeping quiet without speaking up for me.

As of today, I knew I would get it again, and this period of time is the worst of my work career which I have had not feel/experience such a high stress level before! I almost feel like throwing in the towel today!!!

As you may have guess, I didn't really enjoy my Genting trip, all this problems are spinning in my head during the oversea, thus, I didn't really get to fully relax my mind.

Lets hope all this bad luck can go away ASAP and get back my normal working style as all this stress are making me brain dead and it can't seem to function properly anymore.

Wish me luck guys.

Latest, Hotest News in Singapore

Ok, so my Genting trip wasn't the greatest news at all. I remembered on 28th Feb, at about 6am+, while we were travelling in a cab toward Golden mile complex to take the coach to Genting, we heard the news.

The head of JI (terrorist) had escape from the detention, while taking a toilet break.

After the trip back in Singapore, this is the latest poster dedicated for him, after 72hrs.

It is indeed a joke...

Back from Genting

Have type a shitload of report of the Genting trip just now, but somehow it have got some error and I lost all the typing...

Genting Trip

I'm back, from the cold Genting highland. It has indeed changes alot since my last trip there was back in 1989.

Weather, as cold as before, but entertainments, casinos, foods etc have increase in volumes and of course, the $$ to enjoy them.

The trip there, on a 26seater bus, was a mere $88 per pax, with 2 night stay at First world hotel, plus a free breakfast each. The journey there was fast, smooth.

The room was alittle small, but was comfy enough for all. We just need a room to rest our tired body and to keep our luggages.

Food was expensive, it is almost double the price of what we pay here in Singapore, but the quality and quantity was perhap 2/3 of it.
